energysmart.us.com is a RESNET accredited Rater Provider.  (Accreditation Identification Number: HERS 1998-118)  If you require a Provider for your new energy audit and rating company, our organization can act as your Provider.

WHAT IS A PROVIDER ORGANIZATION?   In the simplest terms, the Provider Organization provides the quality assurance review required of all Home Energy Raters and Auditors.  In order to assure quality ratings, RESNET and the EnergyStar program require that Home Energy Ratings/Audits be reviewed.  In addition, HERs ratings must be archived.  The HERs Provider is also responsible for resolving any rater Ethics and Conflict Of Interest issues.  Lastly, the Provider Organization distributes the energy rating software.  The rating software is only available through an accredited rating Provider Organization.

CAN A RATER BE THEIR OWN PROVIDER?  Yes.  To qualify as a provider organization, a rater must submit an application to RESNET and name a Quality Assurance Designee.  The Quality Assurance Designee must successfully pass the QA test administered by RESNET.

As part of our training program, energysmart.us.com acts as the Provider during the provisional period of rater certification.  Once a rater has completed the provisional period, a rater may wish to engage energysmart.us.com as their Provider or QA Designee.

If you require an accredited Rating Provider or a QA Designee, please complete the following form and submit to energysmart.us.com  We will prepare an agreement.
